Change the security code, PIN code, and PIN2 code in 
Access codes
 in the 
Security settings
 menu. Keep the new codes secret and in a safe place separate 
from your phone.
• PUK and PUK2 codes: These codes may be supplied with the SIM card. If this is 
not the case, contact your service provider.
• Barring password: This code is needed when using the 
Call barring service
 
function in the 
Security settings
 menu.
■ Light alerts
The display and keypad lights notify you of different phone functions by flashing. 
The following phone functions are examples of when lights are used:
• An incoming call arrives.
• An incoming SMS or multimedia message arrives.
• A calendar note or countdown timer expires, or the alarm clock or low battery 
activates an alarm.
You can activate the light alerts using the 
Light sequences
 function in the 
Profiles
 
■ Downloading content and applications
You may be able to download new content (for example images and ringing tones) 
and Java applications from Internet sites into the phone (network service).
