Note: When security features that restrict calls are in use (call barring, closed user
group and fixed dialling), calls may be possible to certain emergency numbers in
some networks (e.g. 112 or other official emergency numbers).
Select
Code in use
to set the phone to use the UPIN or PIN code. The
UPIN code
 option
is shown only if a USIM card is inserted into the phone.
PIN code request
 (or
UPIN code request
, depending on the
Code in use
 setting)
to set the phone to ask for the PIN code of the SIM card (or the UPIN code of
the USIM card) when the phone is switched on. Some cards do not allow this
setting to be changed.
Call barring service
to restrict the calls that can be made or received with the
phone (network service). Select the desired barring option and set it on
(
Activate
) or off (
Cancel
), or check whether the option is active (
Check status
).
Fixed dialling
to restrict calls and text messages from your phone to selected
phone numbers, if allowed by your SIM card.
To view the numbers on the fixed dialling list, select
Number list
, scroll to the
desired name and press
View
To modify the fixed dialling list, press
Options
 and select the appropriate
function.
When you use fixed dialling, GPRS connections are not possible, except when
sending text messages over a GPRS connection. In this case, the message
centre number and the recipient’s phone number have to be included on the
fixed dialling list.
