Inbox and outbox folders
After you have read an incoming text or picture message, the phone saves the message in the

folder of the 
Messages
 menu.
You can save a message that you want to send later in the 
Outbox

 folder.
Erasing the messages
Press

Messages

Erase messages
.
To delete all the messages in a folder, scroll to the folder and press 
OK
. Then press 
OK
 when 
Erase all 
read messages from folder?
 is displayed.
To delete all read messages from all the folders, scroll to 
All read
 and press 
OK
 . Then press 
OK
 when 
Erase read messages from all folders?
 is displayed.
Chat
You can have a conversation with other people using this faster text message service. Messages sent or 
received during a chat session, are not saved.
1. To start a chat, press 
Menu
, select 
Messages
 and 
Chat
. Key in or search the phone book for the 
phone number of the person with whom you want to start the chat session and press 
OK
.
Another way to start a chat: When you have received a message, press 
Show
 to read it. To start a 
chat, press 
Options
 and select 
Chat
.
2. Key in your nickname for the chat and press 
OK
.
